Police Blotter: Free Running Practice Looked Odd to Caller at Costco

A caller said a man in his early 20s was running around the lot, jumping on carts and playing hide and seek with himself at 9:28 p.m. March 21. The man tried to ignore an officer who was attempting to stop him. Police did talk to him, however, and he said he was practicing free running.

Juveniles were running behind houses at 9:22 p.m. March 26 on Algiers Drive. Police said the children were playing tag.

Police went to South Park at 4:11 p.m. March 26 to tell a group of teenagers to stay out of Tot Land.

A fight was reported at 11:37 p.m. March 22 at Speedway on Mayfield Road. The fight was broken up and police took a statement from the victim and his friend.

A SOM Center Road resident  called at 11:10 p.m. March 22 and said he was being tortured through the walls by a neighbor while trying to sleep. An officer talked to the resident, who said he would try to record the noises.

A custody battle was reported at 7:20 p.m. March 22 at Hillcrest Hospital. The father of the 4-month-old baby heard the mother took him to the emergency room and the mother didn't want him there.

A caller at 10:06 p.m. March 21 said people in a Sunset Road driveway appeared to be intoxicated and were yelling and slamming doors. Police told them to keep it down.

A woman called at 5:56 p.m. March 21 and said she was sexually assaulted in the park that morning.
