Police Blotter: Girl Upset Because Grandma Monitors Her Calls

A girl ran out of an apartment at 8:26 p.m. April 7 on Marsol Road because she was upset that her grandmother was monitoring her phone calls. A short time later someone called about a female walking on Interstate 271. Police weren't able to find her, but were called and told that the girl was going to meet up with her uncle in Willoughby.
Someone spray-painted a Neighborhood Watch sign black so it couldn't be read at 10:54 a.m. April 8 on Hawthorne Drive.
A man was slurring his words and stumbling as he went into Best Gyros at 1:36 a.m. April 8. Police followed the man's black Nissan and stopped him on Mayfield Road. He was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.
A car hit a pole at 4:50 p.m. April 7 at Sunoco on SOM Center Road. Police waited for CEI workers to arrive before moving the car because it appeared that the pole was likely to fall down.
A Kingswood Drive resident called at 8:18 p.m. April 6 because a neighbor harasses her when she walks her dog past their house. Police spoke to both parties about the situation.
