Police Blotter: House Guest Hooked Up to Neighbor's Power Supply

An Eastwood Avenue resident called at 2:19 p.m. May 13 and said her neighbor had an extension cord hooked up to her electrical outlet. Police talked to a man who was visiting at the neighbor's house and he said he was using the electricity because the house he was at did not have power. A woman living there then came home and unplugged the connection.

A South Euclid woman called at 10:04 p.m. May 14 and wanted an officer to check on her 17-year-old daughter, who had a baby. She said the man who signed the birth certificate wouldn't let her daughter bring the baby home. Police checked a Golden Gate Boulevard address and the apartment was vacant. Police said the daughter and baby were with relatives in South Euclid.

A woman called Lyndhurst police at 4:35 p.m. May 14 to report two motorcycles speeding on Cedar Road. When told she would be transferred to Mayfield Heights because that was her location, the woman hung up.

An Eastwood Avenue woman called police at 4:02 p.m. May 14 and said someone broke into her residence and jewelry was missing. Police said someone cut a screen to enter the house.

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called at 1:17 p.m. May 14 and said she had smell an odor of something decomposing for the past month. An officer said there was a stench of an odor coming from the apartment, which was in complete disarray. The property manager was called to investigate.

An Iroquois Avenue resident came home at 9:47 p.m. May 13 to find a rear door had been forced in and items were missing.

A caller at 3:14 p.m. May 13 said juveniles were sitting on a wall by Speedway on Mayfield Road and throwing garbage into a yard and antagonizing a dog. The juveniles were gone when police arrived.

A woman said a man in a silver Lexus pulled up next to her at 10:59 p.m. May 12 at Golden Gate Plaza and wouldn't stop looking at her. The man left before police arrived.
