Police Blotter: Man Needed Someone to Check if He Closed Garage

Information supplied by the Highland Heights Police Department.

A South Greenway Court man called police at 6:20 p.m. Jan. 17 to check on his garage door because he didn't remember if he had closed it. Police checked and the door was closed.

A caller at 9:09 p.m. Jan. 18 found an elderly man who fell on Oakview Drive while walking to the drug store. The man was shaking from the cold and was not properly dressed. The caller took the man home, but was concerned. Police checked and said the man was wearing a shirt sweater and pants and appeared to be uninjured. He did not want medical attention.

An employee at on Alpha Drive called at 1:35 p.m. Jan. 18 to report receiving counterfeit money the previous evening.

Water was backing up on Miner Road at 9:37 a.m. Jan. 17 and a sewer appeared to be blocked. A police officer was unable to move debris that was blocking the sewer and called the service department.
