Police Blotter: Man Passed Out in Police Car

A caller said an older man was intoxicated and uncooperative outside at 11:41 p.m. May 9. The man passed out in the back of a police cruiser. He was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to Hillcrest Hospital.
A Westerham Road woman called police at 3:32 p.m. May 9 and said jewelry was missing from her house. She was unsure when it was taken.
An unresponsive man was sitting on a bench in front of at 8:54 a.m. May 9. Several people tried to wake him up, according to a caller. Police said the man had a diabetic reaction.
A brother and sister were fighting at 10:34 p.m. May 7 on Iroquois Avenue. She told police that he pushed her into the stove/refrigerator and a friend had to pull him off. She wanted her brother and his girlfriend to leave for the night, which they did.
Mayfield Village police called at 6:51 p.m. May 7 after getting a complaint that a black SUV was speeding on Interstate 271 southbound and the driver was texting. The information was passed along to Beachwood police.
A woman said she left her Coach purse on the floor May 7 at a Mayfield Road business. She wanted an officer to check the parking lot and inside the store in case employees just weren't seeing the purse. Store surveillance cameras were checked and the woman did not have a purse when she entered the business.
A man called at 6:04 p.m. May 6 to report damage to his car. he said he heard something hit the top of his car the previous night as he entered a Mayfield Road apartment lot, but did not see any damage. Now he went to his car and the sunroof was shattered.
A caller at 2:29 p.m. May 6 said a small child was yelling for help for about 25 minutes at a Mayfield Road apartment building. Police said everything checked OK – the child was refusing to take a nap.
