Police Blotter: Men Caught Taking Scrap Metal From Business

An officer saw two men putting scrap metal into the back of a truck at 5:04 a.m. March 11 on Beta Drive. They admitted to the theft and were arrested.

A caller at 3:35 p.m. March 11 said Walnut Drive residents had a pretty good fire going in their backyard while burning brush. Police said the resident had a commercial-grade, contained cooking fire pit and was cooking on it.

A Robin Circle resident requested special attention at 6:29 p.m. March 10 after seeing that the mandoor on his garage had been busted.

A caller at 5:21 p.m. March 10 said a woman in a silver Honda was texting while driving and ran him off the road on Wilson Mills Road. He said he brought the close call to her attention and she responded with a vulgar gesture. Police didn't see any cars matching the description of the one the woman was driving.
