Police Blotter: Officer Helps Stunned Goose Cross the Road

Information supplied by the Highland Heights Police Department.

A man said he hit a duck with his car at 8:28 p.m. March 31 on Alpha Drive. The animal turned out to be a goose and police said it appeared to have been stunned. An officer helped it off of the road.

A rollover accident was reported at 6:20 p.m. April 4 on Wilson Mills Road between Kenbridge and Radford. Police said the accident occurred in Richmond Heights.

An injured deer was in the road at 8:34 p.m. April 4 on Lander Drive near the driveway to Mayfield High School. Mayfield Village police were told about the deer.

A man in a dark Chevy Malibu was parked in a driveway and talking on a phone at 12:45 p.m. April 4 on Rutland Drive. He got out of his car, relieved himself on a tree and got back in the car. Police said the man was with the Illuminating Co. and denied urinating on a tree.

A man came to the police station at 7:50 p.m. April 2 after he found a wallet while running on the trail on Aberdeen Boulevard.

A suspicious man in a blue van was circling around the block and driving slowly at 8:42 p.m. April 2 on Colony Drive. Officers checked the area and did not see the van.

A caller at 6 p.m. April 1 said a man pushed another man to the ground and threatened to shoot him outside the on Bishop Road. Police said no one wanted to pursue prosecution. However, the suspect was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence after being pulled over on Bishop.
