Police Blotter: Resident Chased Man He Suspected Was Selling Drugs

A Ford Road man called police at 7:39 p.m. May 14 and said his daughter had drugs in her purse. The man said someone known to the family had been selling the daughter drugs and was at the residence – they chased him through backyards. Police checked the area and were unable to find the suspect, described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 155 pounds and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt.

A woman called from work at 7:23 p.m. May 16 on Wilson Mills Road and said she had a tape of a past employee tampering with her coffee.

An East Legend Court resident flagged down an officer at 4:55 p.m. May 16 because there was no water. The water department was on the scene and police said workers were going to check with Camino Construction, which had a project going on Miner Road.

A 911 caller at 10:40 p.m. May 15 said he was hit by a pickup he was now following on Interstate 271 northbound. Both vehicles went to Interstate 90 east and exited at Route 615. The call was transferred to Mentor police, who stated that is not there area and hung up. The caller then stated he lost sight of the truck and was transferred to the Mayfield Village Police Department to file an accident report.
