Police Blotter: Resident Told Lit Pumpkins Are Not a Fire Hazard

A Rutland Drive resident called police at 11:47 p.m. Oct. 31 because a neighbor had lit candles inside of pumpkins and the caller was concerned that it might pose a hazard. The fire department was contacted and said the pumpkins were not a hazard.

A man claiming to represent ADT security was soliciting for business at 5:03 p.m. Oct. 31 on Ransome Road, said a resident who also called the company and was told no representatives were out in the area.

A burglary was reported at 5:18 p.m. Oct. 31 on Strumbly Drive. Police said the suspects were three black men and a black woman in a green, four-door car.

Two juveniles were checking car doors at 12:17 a.m. Oct. 31 on Oakview Drive, a caller reported. Police checked for any cars that appeared to have been gone through and caught up with one girl, who was interviewed and then sent home with her mother.

A Miner Road man said he was moving trucks around in his garage at 7:58 p.m. Oct. 28 when he noticed three kids walking up the driveway. They saw him and ran northbound.

A man came to the police station at 8:58 p.m. Oct. 26 to report that his car was stolen on Prestwick Lane.
