Police Blotter: Suspected Burglars Were Actually Visiting Daughter

An East Miner Road woman noticed footprints in the snow in her backyard at 6:48 a.m. Feb. 23. She said the footprints looked like someone was going to break into house, on which a gutter also had been broken. Police said it appeared that someone had been trying to get the attention of the woman's daughter.

A Comfort Inn employee called at 1:43 a.m. Feb. 28 because a man was in the lobby and refused to leave. He was told to leave and not return or be arrested for trespassing.

A Mallard Drive woman requested special attention be given to the property at 8:34 p.m. Feb. 27 after someone tried to steal the catalytic converter from her niece's Mini Cooper. The niece heard something dragging and there was a tire iron hanging under the car.

An employee at a Mayfield Road business complained at 12:47 p.m. Feb. 27 that the building had been shaking all morning. She called back and said someone was working on the roof.

A caller said a car rolled out on Interstate 271 northbound before the Mayfield Road exit at 12:09 p.m. Feb. 25 The accident occurred in Mayfield Village and there were minor injuries.

An officer was approached at 3:26 p.m. Feb. 24 on Mayfield Road by an employee of a Mayfield Road business who said drug sales were occurring in front of the store from 7-8 p.m.

A Marsol Road resident called at 5:42 p.m. Feb. 23 about music being played loudly in a car in the lot, causing her apartment to shake. She tried to find the car, but the person turns the music down before she can do so.
