Police Blotter: Suspicious Man Likes to Perform at Intersection

A caller said a suspicious man wearing a tie-dyed shirt and no coat was dancing and acting oddly at 3:16 p.m. Jan. 13 while standing on the corner of SOM Center and Wilson Mills roads. The man told police he was waiting for a bus and likes to stand on the corner and sing and dance to get attention.

The owner of on SOM Center Road reported at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 14 that an employee lost a bank deposit the previous night. A video showing a van pulling into the lot and someone picking an item up before driving away.

A construction company called dispatch at 5:22 p.m. Jan. 13 to report that a crew was going to put anti-freeze in pipes to prevent them from freezing at an unoccupied Kenwood Road house.

A caller at 6:20 a.m. Jan. 12 said he hit a deer on Lander Road. The accident occurred in Highland Heights, but the deer landed in Mayfield Village. The animal warden was called about the deer.

A SOM Center Road woman received a call on Jan. 11 from someone claiming her grandson needed money and was in trouble in India. She told police that she knew the call was bogus, but wanted it logged.

A caller on Jan. 11 wanted police to pay extra attention to the bridges under Interstate 271 because people were loitering. He said he didn't know if the people were vagrants or drug dealers or what.
