Police Blotter: Traffic Cone Thrown at Woman's Car

An Iroquois Avenue woman told police at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 15 that she was driving down the street when a boy in another car grabbed a traffic cone and threw it at her car. She said the other car was being driven by a 16-year-old neighbor.

A caller wanted police to check on the welfare of a woman slumping over the wheel of her car at 1:37 p.m. Nov 16 at McDonald's on Mayfield Road. The woman was OK – she was having trouble finding something she dropped.

The manager of a SOM Center Road business called at 11:38 p.m. Nov. 13 because he was trying to lock up for the night and the key got stuck in the back door. The key was removed and the store was locked up.

A Mayfield Road woman called police at 10:37 p.m. Nov. 13 because her ex-boyfriend was outside her apartment door and would not leave. She said he followed her from East 185th Street. He walked away while she was on the phone with police.

A woman living in Euclid told police at 10:17 p.m. Nov. 13 that she gave her cell number to a man who was now sending her harassing text messages while working at Pizza Hut on Mayfield Road. Police checked and the man left work and went home for the evening. The woman told police she was going to change her phone number and didn't want to pursue charges.

All the lights were off at 7:58 p.m. Nov. 13 at Rite Aid on Mayfield Road and there was a Penske moving truck parked in front of the building, all of which a caller thought was suspicious. Police said the store was closed and merchandise was being liquidated.

A Hawthorne Drive woman called police at 12:23 a.m. Nov. 13 and said someone threw eggs at her front window. Police talked to two boys who admitted to throwing the eggs.
