Police Blotter: Woman Feeding Strays Claims Harassment by Animal Warden

The animal warden received complaints about a Lander Road woman feeding stray cats and went to talk to her on Dec. 14. She told him she was going to report him for harassment.

A Gates Mills Boulevard man called at 2:52 a.m. Dec. 15 and said six men were running around in his front yard and were messing with his car. Police checked and there was no one around. The man told police he was going back to bed.

A woman said someone sideswiped her car on West Miner Road. She chased the other woman down and gave the woman's information to police, but the damage was minor and the caller decided she didn't want any police action after all.

A caller said he was almost run off of Interstate 271 at 8 a.m. Dec. 13 by a blue Honda that was drag racing with an Infinity. Police talked to the driver of the Honda at Marsol Towers and the man denied being involved in any altercation on the highway.

An employee at a Mayfield Road gas station called police at 9:11 a.m. Dec. 12 because a customer told another employee that he wanted to punch her. That occurred the day earlier and the man was back at the station. He left before police arrived.

An 11-year-old Golden Gate Boulevard girl was scared because she was unable to contact her mother at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 11. Her mother didn't respond to phone calls or text messages and the girl wanted her stepmother and father to pick her up. Police said the mother came home and everything was fine.

An officer was trying to catch a car that was going over 110 mph at 1:39 p.m. Dec. 11 in the express lanes on Interstate 271 northbound. The driver eventually pulled over.
