Police Blotter: Woman Injured in Accident at Mayfield and West Hill

An accident was reported at 3:18 p.m. March 12 at Mayfield Road and West Hill Drive. The crash involved two cars and a 49-year-old Chesterland woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. One of the drivers, a 17-year-old Gates Mills girl, was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.

Suspicious activity was reported at 6:14 p.m. March 15 at St. Francis Church. A man and a woman were trying to get gas money from people in the parking lot. Officers checked the area, but did not see the suspects.

A Woodstock Road resident filed a fraud report at 7:16 p.m. March 14. She said a person made several unauthorized charges to her debit card between March 9-12.

A 911 caller at 9:05 a.m. March 16 reported an accident on Mayfield Road. A 44-year-old Newbury man was cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
