Police Blotter: Woman Not Quite Ready to Part with Baby Put Up For Adoption

security called at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 4 because a woman said she was coming back to check on a baby she had given up for adoption. The woman had been told not to return and security was concerned she might cause a disturbance.

South Euclid police called at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 5 to check the welfare of the mother of a man being held in Mayfield Heights jail. The woman wanted to know if her son was in custody. When told he was in jail, the woman said she was going to kill herself because police continue to harass her son. South Euclid police took the woman to Hillcrest Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

A Golden Gate Boulevard man was in an altercation with a tow truck driver at 2:27 p.m. Feb. 4. He told police the truck was there to tow a car stuck on the lawn and he was worried that the operator might damage his car after their confrontation. The driver and passenger of the truck denied making any threats. Police said the caller admitted that he told them he holds a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Maintenance at a Maplewood Road apartment building reported at 11:07 a.m. Feb. 4 that a car with three juveniles was stuck in a grassy area. The driver didn't have money to have the red Ford Mustang pulled free and said he would make arrangements to have the car moved. The property manager was told the driver would pay for damage to the lawn.

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called at 1:54 a.m. Feb. 4 and said someone was outside her back door and was throwing things at the door all night.
