Snow Inbound For Northeast Ohio's Snow Belt
The eastern tip of the Buckeye State, including Geauga and Lake counties, could see snow showers and flurries over the next 48-hours.

The northeastern portion of Ohio could see heavy snowfall Wednesday through Thursday this week. Between 4 inches and 9 inches of snow could fall over a 48-hour span, the National Weather Service said.
"Moderate snowfall accumulations may occur on Thursday into Thursday evening across the area," the NWS said. At this time, the agency isn't predicting particularly hazardous weather, but commutes will likely be difficult for residents.
Snow showers are most likely between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, with a chance of flurries and scattered showers continuing through the afternoon. The chance of snow is currently 60 percent in Lake County, for instance, with 2-4 inches of snow possible throughout the day.

Between 1-3 inches of snow could fall on late Thursday morning and early afternoon, the National Weather Service predicts. There's currently an 80 percent chance of snow during that time. Another 1-2 inches of snow is likely to fall on Thursday night.
It won't be the worst battering of winter snow the northeastern tip of Ohio has ever gotten, but it will be enough to inconvenience drivers and make driving conditions more dangerous than usual. Residents may want to build additional time into their commuting plans.
