Tri-Community CERT To Participate in Earthquake Exercise
National effort involves more than 300 community response teams.

If the Hillcrest Patch area has an earthquake, the Tri-Community CERT team will be ready.
Community Emergency Response Team members will participate Saturday in "Formidable Footprint," a national exercise in which more than 300 community response teams and neighborhood associations will take patron an earthquake scenario.
The disaster simulation is a three-hour tabletop event that will start at noon Saturday at the Fire Department, 5827 Highland Rd.
Paul Berne, Tri-Community CERT president, said the training is part of the group's ongoing education programs.
Tri-Community CERT serves Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village and Highland Heights. Initial training is done in nine sessions of about two hours each and about 10 applicants are needed before training classes start.
