Tuesdays At Tudor Performances Return July 17

GATES MILLS, OH — The Tuesdays at Tudor series at Gilmour Academy will return July 17. The A.R.T. Trio will perform at 6 p.m. A wine and cheese reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the concert will start at 6:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to all. The performance will be held in Gilmour's Tudor House (hence the name).

The A.R.T. Trio is comprised of Julia Russ on piano, Jim Thompson on violin and Linda Atherton on cello. Their performance will last roughly one hour.

During the concert, Russ will play a Steinway & Sons grand piano, one of five such pieces throughout the school. The five pianos were donated by Matthew P. Figgie, an alumni from the class of 1984.

The school is in the process of being designated a Steinway Select K-12 School. This unique distinction means that every piano on Gilmour’s campus will soon be replaced with a new Steinway & Sons grand piano. Gilmour is the first private K-12 school in the Midwest and only the eighth in the country to have made this commitment to date.
