Welcome Mentor's New Police Dogs At Public 'Bark Out'

Current K9s Titan and Bo will exit the police force in a public and free ceremony. Their replacements will be introduced during the event.

MENTOR, OH — The public will have the chance to welcome the Mentor Police Department's two newest members and say goodbye to two retiring members: the K9s Titan and Bo.

The city is appropriately throwing an event called the "Bark Out." The free event will include dog-themed music played by a DJ, a Lake Humane Society Mutt Strut, retirement cake for Titan and Bo, and more. Guests can provide donations to the Humane Society during the ceremonies.

The retiring animals are working police dogs, so the city is asking residents to leave their own pets at home. The ceremony will be held Sunday, May 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater.
