3 Active Coronavirus Cases Among Shaker Heights Students
The Shaker Heights Schools said three students from different schools have tested positive for COVID-19.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Three students in the Shaker Heights Schools have tested positive for coronavirus.
The students who tested positive for the virus attend Boulevard Elementary, Woodbury Elementary and Shaker Heights Middle School. Two staffers, one at Mercer Elementary and one at Woodbury, have also tested positive for the virus.
Woodbury was closed Monday and Tuesday after a staffer tested positive for COVID-19.

"We appreciate the prompt and responsible reporting of positive COVID-19 tests from our staff. This is a reminder that, per the District's Student Health and Safety Guidelines, if a student exhibits symptoms consistent with COVID-19, the student's family should contact the building administrator to report the suspected positive case. District staff should continue to notify Human Resources of any positive or presumed positive COVID-19 cases," Superintendent David Glasner said.
The Shaker Heights Schools are planning to begin onsite education for K-4 students at the end of the month.
