Help Plan For The Future Of Shaker's Facilities
Residents are invited to apply to to be a member of the Forward Together Advisory Committee.

Residents are invited to apply to to be a member of the Forward Together Advisory Committee. This Committee of approximately 30 residents will work with staff from the City, Shaker Heights City School District, Shaker Heights Public Library, and a consultant team to help guide and provide input into a Facilities Master Plan.Applications are due August 1.
Background
In 2019, the City, the Shaker Heights Public Library, and the Shaker Heights City School District launched Forward Together, a joint initiative to create a Facilities Master Plan for Shaker Heights. A Facilities Master Plan sets the future direction for a community's public facilities, including buildings (i.e. schools, libraries, and other public buildings) and public amenities (i.e.parks and playgrounds).

The goal of Forward Together is to create a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan for the entire community.
In 2019, the community came together in a series of public meetings to create a vision for Shaker's facilities. The Advisory Committee will be part of a team, which includes staff from the City, Schools, Library, and consultants working to turn the community's vision into the Facilities Master Plan.
