Bank Robbed In Shaker Heights, FBI Asks Public For Help

The public is being asked to help identify a man who robbed a PNC Bank in Shaker Heights on Monday.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard in Shaker Heights was robbed Tuesday.

At 11:40 a.m., an unidentified man walked into the bank and approached a teller. He handed a note to the teller that read, "Give me the money in both drawers."

The teller handed over the money and the man ran out of the bank. He was seen running west toward Warrensville Road. He was then seen on surveillance video driving a white Ford Escape, the FBI said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is over 6 feet tall and has a slim build, witnesses said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white mask covering his nose and mouth, a tan hat with a blue brim and a blue character logo on the hat.

PNC is offering $5,000 for tips that lead to the capture, arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Tips regarding the identity of the unknown suspect can be provided to the FBI at 216-622-6842 or Shaker Heights Police at 216-491-1234. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
