Bank Robbed In Shaker Heights, FBI Searches For Suspect

The PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard was robbed on Wednesday afternoon. Investigators hope someone recognizes the robber.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard was robbed on Wednesday, the FBI announced.

At 3:15 p.m., a man walked into the bank while holding a grocery bag. He leapt over the teller counter and threw the bag at one of the tellers. He then ordered the teller to, "give me the money, put the money in the bag, no funny money and no playing."

The teller filled the bag with money and then handed it back to the man. The suspect then turned to another teller and told them to empty her drawer and fill the bag with money, an FBI spokesperson said.
