Confusion Over Lomond Elementary Traffic Changes

Shaker Heights police said they want to see bad habits broken by drivers and students before winter weather hits.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Shaker Heights police said there has been confusion over the traffic pattern for afternoon dismissal at Lomond Elementary. The department said children should not cross any street without utilizing marked crosswalks.

"This is a good opportunity to bring this discussion back up in your homes with your kids. With winter weather around the corner, we would like to see this bad habit broken as soon as possible, with your help," the department said on Facebook.

Traffic restrictions are in place around Lomond in the morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and in the afternoon, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. During those times, Palmerston and Strandhill roads are one way only, with no parking allowed on the streets.
