Construction Will Impact South Woodland In Shaker Heights

A gas main replacement program could hamstring traffic for approximately the next six months.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — South Woodland Road will be under construction over the next six months. Dominion Energy Ohio Pipeline will be doing an extensive gas main replacement project, which will start the week of May 28.

The project will be broken into two phases. The first phase will take place on South Woodland between Warrensville and Green. The second phase will take place on South Woodland between Warrensville and Torrington.

The city said that each phase of construction should take about three months, weather permitting. The whole project should be completed by mid-October.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions during the project. However, drivers should expect significant delays in the area. Commuters might want to consider finding an alternate route until November.
