Huntington Bank Robbed In Shaker Heights

Police are asking the public for help identifying and locating the man that robbed the bank on Wednesday.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — A man robbed the Huntington Bank on Fairmount Boulevard in Shaker Heights on Wednesday afternoon. Police are asking the public for help identifying and locating the suspect.

The robbery happened a little before 5 p.m. Police were called to the bank, at 20601 Fairmount, for reports of a robbery.

Officers learned that a man wearing a yellow baseball cap and backpack threatened bank staff and demanded money. The man was seen leaving the bank in a newer model silver sedan. Investigators have not yet located the man.

No one was hurt during the robbery and police said no weapons were seen.

Shaker Heights Police Department is working with the FBI on the investigation. Anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery should contact Shaker Heights Police at 216-491-1220.
