Lance Mason Sentenced To Life In Prison For Killing Aisha Fraser

The former judge will be eligible for parole after 35 years, prosecutors said.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Former judge Lance Mason has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his ex-wife Aisha Fraser. He pleaded guilty to the killing in late August.

“While the final chapter of this horrific case has now ended, the pain and suffering Lance Mason inflicted upon Ms. Fraser’s parents, daughters, family, and friends will last forever. She was an irreplaceable inspiration who touched the lives of an entire community,” said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley. “Our thoughts remain with her loved ones as well as with Officer Flynt, who continues to struggle daily as a result of these barbaric actions.”

On November 17, 2019, Fraser drover her two daughters, an 8-year-old and 11-year-old, to Mason's home in Shaker Heights. When Fraser got to the door, Mason attacked her and stabbed her numerous times, prosecutors said. One of the daughters called police.

Shaker Heights officers arrived quickly and set up a perimeter around Mason's home. The former judge got into Fraser's car and drove directly into a police cruiser, pinning officer Adam Flynt between the two cars.

Mason then got out of his car and tried to run back into his home. Officers arrested him after he got into the house.
