Major Roadwork Project Starting This Month In Shaker Heights

Work on Warrensville Center Road will be completed in three phases.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Members of the community on Thursday will be invited to join a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. regarding a major roadwork project slated to start later this month in Shaker Heights.

The meeting, set to be held virtually via Zoom, will cover the three-part improvement to Warrensville Center Road. Work on the roadway is expected to begin this month and continue for five months.

The city said during the roadwork project, crews will work to resurface Warrensville Center from Farnsleigh Road to Fiarmount Circle and from Norwood Road to the city's southern limit.

During the project, crews will also reconfigure the intersection at Warrensville Center and Shaker Boulevard.

Traffic and delays should be expected during the project. While work is underway, Warrensville Center Road will be limited to one lane in each direction in the work zone. Additional lane closings on and Shaker Boulevard are also possible.

Crews will be present from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
