Pickup Truck Hit Parked Cars In Shaker, Suspected Driver ID'd
Shaker Heights Police said they have identified the man they believe drove a pickup truck into parked cars at Touch of Italy.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — On a snowy Tuesday night in January, a pickup truck slammed repeatedly into several parked cars at Touch of Italy. After the many collisions, the truck drove off, leaving damaged cars in its wake.
For months, since Jan. 13, Shaker Heights investigators looked for the driver of the pickup truck. Police released video footage of the incident, which was shared widely by Northeast Ohio media.
On April 15, the Shaker Heights Police Department said they finally found a suspect.

Russell Carter Williams, a Cleveland resident, was taken into custody on suspicion of reckless operation, fleeing the scene of an accident and criminal mischief. Police said they believe Williams was the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado that hit multiple cars in the Touch of Italy parking lot.
While police didn't say exactly how they identified and located Williams, they did say public assistance played a role in the investigation. The department thanked the community for its role in helping find Williams.
