Raider Athletic Center Opens At Shaker Schools
The revamped room has more space so students can safely train at the same time.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Raider Athletic Center has opened at Shaker Heights High.
The district recently updated all of its physical education spaces, including a new cardio room and a new wrestling room. Funds for the project were raised by the Shaker Schools Foundation through its partnership with the Shaker Heights High School Athletic and Physical Education Departments.
"These upgrades are invaluable to our physical education and athletics programs,” says Michael Babinec, interim athletic director. “We’re very appreciative for the support of the Shaker Schools Foundation, the Shaker Sports Boosters and all of the donors who helped make these spaces a reality for our students and student-athletes.”

The facility is currently open to high school students for physical education and weight-training courses and to winter sports teams.
The new wrestling room includes new wall padding. During the day, the space is used by high school yoga and fitness classes.
