RTA Bus Hit By Car In Shaker Heights

The back-end of the bus was damaged in the accident, according to police.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — A car hit the back of an RTA bus on Wednesday morning. The driver of the car left before police arrived at the scene, police told Patch.

The accident happened at 5 a.m., near the intersection of Warrensville Center Road and Chagrin Boulevard. Three bus passengers were taken to a local hospital by EMS.

The back of the bus was damaged in the accident. The bus is still on the scene, but all lanes of traffic are now open.

A Shaker Heights police spokesperson said the driver of the car ran off before police arrived. However, the driver's 2018 white Ford Taurus was found at the scene.

Shaker Heights police said they would provide additional information as their investigation proceeds.
