SHAC On TRAC Returns To Shaker Heights On August 18

The annual art and community event will bring residents together to collaborate on a pair of mosaic art pieces.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The second annual SHAC on TRAC — The Road to Arts & Community will be held August 18, the Shaker Arts Council announced. The celebration will highlight efforts to build community through the arts.

The SHAC on TRAC specifically celebrates the Shaker Heights Public Library summer reading program and the end of summer. The event will feature interactive art activities, live music and strolling entertainers.

This year's art activity will engage each participant in creating and contributing to two mosaic sculptures, which will beautify the Shaker RTA rapid station. Attendees will also want to bring a lawn chair to enjoy a performance by City Heat, a family-friendly classic rock and Motown band. There will then be a performance from Blue Lunch, who play blues music.
