Shaker-Beachwood Art Exhibit To Open June 5

A juried art exhibit organized by the Shaker Art Council and Beachwood Art Council will open next month.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A co-produced juried art exhibit called "Good Neighbors" will open next month on the east side.

The Beachwood Arts Council and Shaker Arts Council have organized the exhibit, which features the work of four Beachwood and four Shaker Heights artists. The artwork will include abstracts, landscapes and portraits, created using acrylics, charcoal, oils and pastels.

The four Beachwood artists are Debra Bream, Hazel Brown, John Martin, and Susan Cone Porges. The four Shaker Heights artists are Leslye Discont Arian, Karen Mehling-DeMauro, Kathleen McKenna,and Tatiana Tate.

The exhibit will be held at the Beachwood Community Center, 25225 Fairmount Boulevard. The exhibit opens Wednesday, June 5. There is a reception on Saturday, June 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibit will continue through Thursday, June 27.

The gallery at the community center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.
