Shaker Heights Cop, Firefighter To Be Recognized At Rotary Event
The Rotary Club of the Heights of Greater Cleveland will honor its firefighter and police office of the year on October 16.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Rotary Club of the Heights of Greater Cleveland will honor its 2018 firefighter and police officer of the year on October 16. Awards will be given to Patrol Officer Martin Dunn and Lieutenant Thomas Narowitz.
The awards ceremony will be led by Rotary President Adam Davis. The honorees will receive a plaque for their service and a monetary gift. Shaker Heights Mayor David Weiss and members of city council are expected to attend.
Shaker Heights' Police Chief Jeffrey DeMuth and Fire Chief Patrick Sweeney are also expected to attend.

The event will be held at the Shaker Heights Fire House, 17000 Chagrin Boulevard. There will be a breakfast reception at 8 a.m. and the ceremony will start at 8:30 a.m.
The Rotary Club of the Heights of Greater Cleveland was previously known as the Rotary Club of Shaker Heights. The awards for firefighter and police officer of the year have been given out for more than two decades.

The first recipients of the Rotary Club's awards were James Yarcusko (police) and Dean Charvat (fire).
