Shaker Heights Rite-Aid Offers Free Coronavirus Drive-Thru Tests
Rite-Aid now has 21 locations around Ohio where residents can be tested with a simple self-swab test at the store's drive-up window.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO — A Shaker Heights Rite Aid store is one of 39 new locations nationwide where the retailer is offering free coronavirus testing through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The new locations, including the Rite Aid at 20405 Chagrin Blvd. in Shaker Heights, is one of 21 drive-thru locations across Ohio where the free tasting is taking place, the company announced in a news release on Thursday.
Like Rite Aid's existing drive-thru testing sites, the new locations will use simple self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists and will operate Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m, the company announced in a news release.

Rite Aid's COVID-19 nasal tests are available for all adults, regardless if they are experiencing virus symptoms, in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, the release said,. At all testing locations, patients are required to provide government issued identification, be at least 18 years old and need to pre-register online at www.riteaid.com in order to schedule a time slot for testing.
The release said that all of Rite Aid’s locations in Cleveland will offer the free testing.
