Shaker Heights Teachers Will Get Second Vaccine On March 9
March 9 will be an online learning day for students and there will be no classes on March 10.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Shaker Heights Schools staff will get their second COVID-19 vaccine shot on March 9.
With staff taking time to get the vaccine, classes will be held online on March 9. From 8 a.m. to noon, students will be an asynchronous learning model while staff get their shots. The remainder of the day staff will be online.
"School schedules on March 9 will remain the same for students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. High school students will follow the “Even Day” schedule. The PreK team will communicate details regarding the schedule for March 9 directly to families," district officials said in a statement.

All district buildings will be open on March 9. Administrators, custodians, security monitors and administrative assistants will report to the buildings, when they're not receiving the vaccine.
There will be no classes on March 10. All district buildings and administrative offices will be closed that day.

Students who are onsite on March 8 will receive breakfast and lunch packages for March 9 and March 10.
"Students who learn online will receive breakfast and lunch for Tuesday through Thursday, as well as breakfast for Friday, at the regular meal drop off on Monday, March 8. Meal drop offs will resume Friday, March 12," the district said.
