Shaker Heights Wins District Championship, Heads To Regionals
The boys basketball team has a date with Solon High School on Wednesday. The winner will play for the regional championship.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Shaker Heights boys basketball team are district champions after knocking off their bracket's number one seed Garfield Heights in a 63-60 thriller. It's the Red Raiders first district championship since 2015.
The boys will now move on to the Division II Regional Playoffs, where they will square off with the top ranked team in the state, Solon High School. The Solon Comets are currently 24-1 on the season and playing dominant basketball. Shaker Heights, though, is also firing on all cylinders after finally beating the Garfield Heights Bulldogs.
Shaker Heights and Solon will played Wednesday at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University. The game will start at 8 p.m.

The winner will play either Copley or Massillon Jackson for the regional championship and a ticket to the state championship playoffs. Tickets for the game are $7 a piece and can be purchased at the Shaker Heights Athletic Office. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
