Unoccupied Home Broken Into In Shaker Heights: Blotter

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Police are investigating break-ins at or near two homes in Shaker Heights. A locked storage area was burgled, as was an unoccupied home, over the past seven days. Those incidents, and others, are detailed below.
Shoplifting, Jan. 23 — A 54-year-old man was detained by police after Heinen's staffers reported a shoplifting incident. Police said the man had stolen goods from the grocery store.
Burglary, Jan. 23 — Someone damaged a South Woodland Road resident's locked storage area, went inside, and stole property, police said. The theft was discovered a little before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Theft, Jan. 24 — A man visiting Shaker Heights, from Columbus, was on Lynnfield Road when he had his property and money stolen.

Burglary, Jan. 27 — An unoccupied home in the 3000 block of Helen Road was burgled recently. The owner of the home discovered the theft at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Someone damaged a door on the home, went inside, and stole money, according to police.
Shoplifting, Jan. 27 — Police detained a man at the Walgreens store on Chagrin Boulevard after he was found in possession of stolen goods.
