Update On Suspicious Person Reports In Malvern Neighborhood
Shaker Heights Police said several residents reported seeing a suspicious white van in their area. Luckily, the area is safe.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH —Suspicious person sightings in the Malvern Neighborhood turned out to be a contract worker that was taking his breaks in his van, police announced on Wednesday.
Callers made several reports to police about a man driving a white van through the Malvern Neighborhood. After the complaints piled up, police sent undercover officers to the area to scout for the man.
Investigators located the man and his van. Officers confirmed the man has been hired to do home improvement work in the area. He's been taking breaks while sitting in his white van.

"We appreciate the concerned residents who were vigilant in the effort to "see something, say something." This is a great example of how we can collectively resolve issues when SHPD and the community work together," police said on Facebook on Wednesday.
