Virtual, Arts-Focused Book Club Launches In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — A new book club will give Shaker Heights residents the chance to stay cozy while discussing an eclectic mix of novels.

The Art of Reading Book Club will focus on books with art-related story lines. Participants can pre-read the book or simply join the discussion to connect with fellow art lovers.

Margaret Reardon will lead discussions on the fourth Wednesdays of the month. Meetings start at 7 p.m. and are part of the Shaker Arts Council's Stay-in-Place productions. All meetings will be free and are open to anyone.

Advance registration is required for the Art of Reading Book Club.

Reardon, a Shaker Heights resident, has more than 20 years of experience in running literary programs and leading book clubs, the council said.

"Books and art have been lifelong interests. Furthering the missions of nonprofits who support these interests is a passion as well, and she is excited to have these all come together in support of the wonderful work of SHAC," the council said in a statement.
