Construction Materials, Jewelry Reported Stolen: Police Blotter

Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and hundreds worth of construction materials were reported stolen recently to Stow Police.

A Millburn Avenue women told police that someone stole a platinum wedding engagement ring from the center console of her car while it was parked overnight at her apartment complex.

The ring, valued at $4,600, included four center-cut diamonds with a total weight of about 2 carats, according to police.

The ring was reported stolen June 8 and constitutes a fifth-degree felony theft due to the value of the jewelry.

Two more rings were reported stolen by a Marcella Avenue women on June 6.

The stolen rings included a quarter-carat diamond eternity band in yellow gold valued at $200 and a yellow topaz solitaire ring with two diamonds valued at $1,000.

The victim told police that she noticed the rings were missing after teenage friends of her children visited.

Workers at the construction site of the new Panera Bread on Graham Road told police that 52 steel construction beams and 50 steel construction supports were stolen June 11.

The construction items were valued at a combined total of $800.
