Foreclosed House Stripped of Copper Piping

A foreclosed house on Wetmore Street was gutted by vandals for scrap metal.

About 125 feet of copper piping, valued at about $2,500, was stolen from the house at 1818 Wetmore St.

The theft happened some time this summer between May 1 and June 26, according to police records.

The foreclosed property is owned by Bank of America.

Vacant houses have been a popular target of thieves in Stow.
