Jackson Township Preschoolers Are Over The Moon About Space Travel

NASA Astronaut skypes with children at The Goddard School located in Jackson Township, OH

A couple weeks ago, the preschoolers from The Goddard School located in Jackson Township, OH had the incredible opportunity to host a Skype session with NASA astronaut Megan McArthur.

All of the children came up with their own questions which included “What do you miss most while you’re in space?”, “How do you build a spaceship?”, “Do you think people will ever be able to live on another planet?”, “What is the most interesting thing you’ve seen in space?”, “Are you allowed to bring back any souvenirs from space?”, and “What kind of food can you eat in space?”

Astronaut McArthur engaged with the children and told them how she became an astronaut. She also showcased sample astronaut food items and the kids were amazed to see what hot chocolate, M&Ms, and a breakfast sausage patty would all look like as astronaut food. The kid got to see both live video of Astronaut McArthur as well as lots of pictures she had taken herself while in space.
