Joshua's Restaurant at Stow-Munroe Falls High School fell victim to a counterfeit bill recently.
An advisor for the student-run restaurant, which is part of the culinary program at the high school, told Stow Police that someone used a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for their meal.
The school was unaware a counterfeit bill had been used until FirstMerit Bank contacted the district about a week after it had been used to notify them of the fake money.

It's unclear if police have any suspects. The fake $20 bill was apparently used on April 10 — just a few days after the restaurant reopened following spring break — though it wasn't reported to police until this month.
