Marhofer Rezoning Headed to Council Thursday

The controversial rezoning request from Ron Marhofer to expand his dealership, Ron Marhofer Chevrolet, east towards Thorndale Avenue will go before the Stow City Council planning committee Thursday.

The committee reviewed Marhofer's request to rezone three residential properties to commercial status Monday, but because two members of the committee were absent no vote was cast on the request.

The planning committee meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Thursday at Stow City Hall.

The Stow Planning Commission voted earlier this month to approve the request from Ron Marhofer, the owner of Marhofer Chevrolet, to rezone the properties at 1941, 1947 and 1955 Thorndale Ave. from R-3 residential to C-3 community retail.
