New Assistant Principal Named at Lakeview School

Angie Farneth comes to Stow from North Carolina

The Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education is pleased to announce Angie Farneth was named Assistant Principal at Lakeview Intermediate School. Farneth became a member of the Lakeview team earlier this month.  

Prior to joining the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District, Farneth held the position of Assistant Principal at Swansboro Middle School in Swansboro, North Carolina. Additionally, she served as a seventh grade language arts teacher in Swansboro for 11 years.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Mrs. Farneth to our staff,” said Superintendent Russell Jones. “We are fortunate to have her at Lakeview and look forward to a fantastic school year under her leadership.”

In 2012, Farneth was a finalist for the Onslow County Assistant Principal of the Year Award and was named Teacher of the Year in 2005.

She holds a Master’s Degree in School Administration from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Farneth resides with her husband Drew, who is also an educator, and daughter, Ryan.

The Stow-Munroe Falls City School District is rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education, an honor held by 267 school districts out of 613 statewide.
