Newton Falls Man Charged with Stealing from Employer

All information is according to Stow Police and Stow Municipal Court records. Arrest information does not indicate conviction.

A Newton Falls man has been charged with stealing hundreds of dollars in machine parts from a Stow manufacturer.

Stow Police arrested Cody R. Hornyak, 23, on charges of stealing from Valley Gear Manufacturing on Allen Road after management there contacted police and claimed Hornyak had been stealing from the business.

More than $1,600 in miscellaneous machine parts were reported stolen from the business.

Hornyak was charged with theft, a fifth-degree felony.

He was arraigned in Stow Municipal Court on April 12 and his bond set at 10 percent of $5,000.

Valley Gear Manufacturing, located at 4488 Allen Road, is the sister firm of TNT Custom Equipment and operates out of a 45,000-square-foot facility, according to the company's website.
