I hope you found ways to find the joy of the season, even if it wasn’t in your traditional way. Thanks for reaching out to us with your social media posts and emails to let us know how much you enjoyed having our Glow with Stow Holiday Spectacular as part of your holiday ritual. It truly was beautiful! We are looking forward to bringing it back next year bigger and better!
There is one thing I can say about our Stow community – we are a giving bunch! With many of our residents suffering with job loss and having lack of basic needs, you all came forward and let me tell you, our community helps one another! I received many phone calls and emails from residents wanting us to connect them with an avenue so they could give something or help somebody in some way. Donations were collected at City Hall and local organizations did great things to support our region. Our residents stepped up to the plate and GAVE! It has been truly heartwarming!
As we move on through 2021 and endure the remaining time of the pandemic, please be reminded that there is still so much to do in our great city this winter! It is so important, now more than ever, that our residents get outside! We encourage you to bundle up, grab a family member or your pup, and go for a stroll. Our extraordinary parks and trails are open, and they provide plenty of opportunities for fun and social distancing.
As always, we have an array of recreational events and programs from drive throughs to virtual programs for you to enjoy. We are waiting on the first BIG snow to have Stow Snow Sculptures at Silver Springs Park. Come to the park where mounds of snow will be available to create your own snow sculpture! Announcements will be made on the FunInStow facebook page as to when the creations can begin. Be sure to take a look at all of our great programming on our website stowohio.org.
As we continue to navigate these different times, I would like to thank our community for supporting our local organizations and businesses. Please continue to do so! Your patronage means so much to our community. We will get through this together because We are Stow Strong!
Sincerely,
John Pribonic
