Stow Mayor Resigns; Will Take Position In Cuyahoga Falls

Mayor Kline has accepted a new position in Cuyahoga Falls Parks department, and will resign as the mayor of Stow.

STOW, OH - From Stow Parks & Recreation: Following confirmation of her appointment to the position of Superintendent of Parks by the City of Cuyahoga Falls Parks Board yesterday, Stow Mayor Sara Kline has announced she has formally accepted the job and will be resigning her position as the Mayor to work full time for the City of Cuyahoga Falls. “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the City of Stow in elected office, first on City Council and then as Mayor. I treasure my time with Stow and will always look at these 12 1/2 years as among the highlights of my career. I am so proud to have been associated with the women and men who are employees of the City of Stow. Any success my Administration has had is directly because of their dedication, commitment and service.”

Kline further stated that “the City of Cuyahoga Falls is experiencing a rebirth and is in the midst of many progressive and creative projects. I am very excited to become part of their team as the Superintendent of Parks and look forward to working with Mayor Walters and the entire Administration.”

Kline further stated that her resignation will be effective as of Sunday, May 13. Per the Charter of the City of Stow, City Council will act to install an interim Mayor until a new Mayor is elected.
