Stow Rotary Plans Golf Ball Drop at Summer Sunset Blast

Fundraiser includes $1,000 grand prize

The Rotary Club of Stow-Munroe falls will hold its fourth annual Golf Ball Drop on August 31 at Stow’s Summer Sunset Blast at Silver Springs Park.

Numbered golf balls will be dropped from a 100 foot crane at 8:00 p.m. The grand prize of $1000 will be awarded to the ticket owner whose ball lands closest to the target.  Second and third prize winners will receive $500 and $250 respectively.

Chances to win are available by purchasing one ball for $5 or five balls for $20.
Those interested may contact Annie Hanson by phone (330) 730-6424 or by email at achanson129@gmail.com. Limited chances will be available for purchase at the Rotary booth at Summer Sunset Blast prior to the drop on Friday and Saturday.

Funds raised by the golf ball drop will support critically important community service projects in the Stow-Munroe Falls area.

“This project has been very successful the last three years and has allowed our club to continue its financial commitment to a number of community service projects,” said Annie Hanson, member of the golf ball drop committee. “We are thrilled to be part of the Summer Sunset Blast again this year and look forward to seeing everyone at the drop.”

The Rotary Club of Stow-Munroe Fall is committed to providing service to others, promoting integrity, and advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

The club meets weekly at Silver Lake Country Club on Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m.
Don’t miss seeing the cascade of nearly 2000 numbered golf balls fall from the sky and a chance to win cash prizes while supporting the local community.
